Author Guidelines

General Requirements

All submitted manuscripts will be evaluated by the Editorial Board and external peer reviewers, who are authorized to accept or reject submissions. Manuscripts must be written in either Indonesian or English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other publication. Only scientific research articles or review articles are accepted. Authors are required to register and submit their manuscripts through the Jurnal Purifikasi Online Submission System.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. The manuscript should be organized in the following order: Title (Indonesian and English), Author(s), Author Affiliation(s), Abstract (Indonesian and English), Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if applicable), and References.

  2. Manuscripts must be prepared on A4 paper, single-spaced (including the abstract), with a maximum length of 14 pages (including figures and tables). Margins should be set as follows: left 2.5 cm, right 1.5 cm, top 3 cm, and bottom 2.5 cm.

  3. The manuscript must be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font, using a two-column layout.

  4. The manuscript length should be between 8 and 14 pages.

Title

  1. The manuscript title must be provided in both Indonesian and English.

  2. The title should be concise and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Authors

  1. Superscript numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) indicating the authors' affiliations should be placed after each author's name.

  2. Complete author affiliations and institutional addresses must be provided.

  3. The corresponding author should be identified with an asterisk (*).

  4. The email address of the corresponding author must be included.

Abstract

  1. The abstract should consist of one concise paragraph summarizing the objectives, methodology, key findings, and the novelty of the study.

  2. Abstracts must be provided in both Indonesian and English, with a maximum length of 250 words, followed by five keywords or key phrases.

  3. Keywords should be arranged in alphabetical order.

Introduction

  1. The Introduction should present the research background, state-of-the-art, relevant literature review, and conclude with the research objectives.

  2. The content should be logically structured with coherent transitions between paragraphs.

Materials and Methods

The Materials and Methods section should clearly describe the materials, experimental procedures, data collection, processing, and analytical methods used in the study. The information provided should be sufficiently detailed to enable replication by other researchers. References should be cited whenever established methods are adopted.

Results and Discussion

  1. Manuscripts must present original research results that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  2. Results should be presented clearly using figures and tables whenever appropriate. All abbreviations or technical terms should be explained in the figure captions or table notes.

  3. Tables should be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals according to their order of appearance, with explanatory notes placed below the table.

  4. Figures should be centered on the page with one blank line separating the figure from the surrounding text.

  5. The total manuscript length, including figures and tables, must be between 8 and 14 pages.

Acknowledgements

This section should acknowledge funding agencies and individuals who have significantly contributed to the research.

References

  1. References must follow the APA Style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or similar applications.

  2. Only references cited in the manuscript should be included. A minimum of five references published within the last 15 years is required.

  3. In-text citations should follow the author-year format: (Author, Year). The reference list should be arranged alphabetically by the surname of the first author.

Reference formats include:

  • Book: Author. (Year). Book Title. Publisher.

  • Journal Article: Author. (Year). Article Title. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Pages.

  • Conference Proceeding: Author. (Year). Paper Title. Conference Name, Conference Date, Pages.

  • Thesis/Dissertation: Author. (Year). Title. Thesis/Dissertation, University.

  • Engineering Standard: Author/Organization. (Year). Standard Title. Publisher.

  • Government Document: Organization. (Year). Document Title. Place of Publication.

  • Laboratory Manual: Manual Title. (Year). Publisher.

Figures

  1. Figures should be centered with one blank line separating them from the surrounding text.

  2. Figures must be of high quality, and all text, labels, and numbers should be clearly legible.

  3. Figure captions should be placed below the figure using Times New Roman, 12-point font.

  4. The combined total number of figures and tables must not exceed six (6).

Tables

  1. Tables should be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals according to their order of appearance.

  2. Table contents should use Times New Roman, 10-point font, single-spaced.

  3. Table titles should be placed above the table using Times New Roman, 12-point font, with one blank line between the title and the table.

  4. Leave one blank line between the preceding text and the table title.

  5. Any explanatory notes should be placed below the table.
