Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published and/or is not currently under review by another journal.
  • The manuscript aligns with the scope of environmental engineering.
  • The full manuscript is provided in English and follows the Jurnal Purifikasi guidelines and template.
  • The manuscript should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • The submission includes two files: a blinded manuscript for the double-blind peer review process and a complete manuscript using the Jurnal Purifikasi article template.
  • The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism, with a similarity index of less than 20%.
  • The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in preparing the manuscript has been disclosed appropriately, where applicable.
  • The manuscript is ready to be reviewed by peer reviewers.
  • All authors have disclosed any potential conflicts of interest related to the research and publication.
  • All sources of research funding or financial support have been clearly stated in the manuscript.
  • The authors agree to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000 only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Author Statement: Author Statement


Articles. Submitted articles will be assessed by the Editorial Board and External Reviewers. The Editorial Board has the authority to accept or reject submitted manuscripts. Articles submitted to the editors in Microsoft Word format.



Systematics. Articles in the form of research are arranged with the following systematics:


Abstract



  1. Introduction (background, problems, writing objectives, theoretical basis)

  3. Results and Discussion

  4. Conclusion


Bibliography


While for articles in the form of planning, they are arranged with the following systematics:

Bibliography


Revision. The editors have the right to improve sentences, without changing the meaning of the sentence. Articles that are not perfect will be returned to the author for improvement. The length of the article is attempted to be a maximum of 15 A4 pages.


Language. Articles are written in English.


Format. Articles are sent in triplicate in double-spaced typesetting, 12 Calibri font in two columns on A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) with a left margin of 2.5 cm, right 1.5 cm, top 3 cm, and bottom 2.5 cm. Each page is numbered.


Specifically for the title (font 16), author's name (font 13), research location/workplace of the author (font 13) and abstract (font 11) are written in a single column, including keywords.


Article Title. As concise as possible and written in English.


Author Name. Written in full (without any academic degree or title), accompanied by the name of the research location or the authors’ affiliated institution below the article title, along with the email address.


Abstract. Written in English, each about 200-250 words, briefly providing an overview of important aspects and main results of the research and conclusions. The abstract is equipped with appropriate keywords (5 keywords).


Tables and Figures. Must be numbered sequentially according to the order of appearance. Each figure and table needs a short title placed above the table and below the figure. Figures and tables that are too large can be reduced by the editor to fit the article format.


Bibliography. Arranged alphabetically by the last name of the first author as follows:



  • Book: Author (Year). Book Title. Publisher.

  • Journal: Author (Year). Title of Article. Name of Journal (italics). Volume (Number). Pages.

  • Paper in proceedings: Author (year). Title of Article. Name of Seminar (italics). Date of Seminar. Pages.

  • Thesis/TA: Author (Year). Title. Thesis/TA. University.

  • Engineering Standard: Author (Year). Book Title. Publisher.

  • Government Document: Organization (Year). Document Name. Place.

  • Laboratory Manual: Manual Title (Year). Manual Book Name. Publisher.


The bibliography written is only that which is/is cited in the article, at least 15 references in the last 10 years. The writing of references in the article sub-chapter is written with the author's name and year of publication in brackets (Author, Year).

Copyright Notice

Submission of a manuscript to Jurnal Purifikasi means that the work has never been published in another journal and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author hereby agrees to submit the copyright of the manuscript and its contents to Jurnal Purifikasi, if accepted for publication. Accepted manuscripts will be published in printed form where the ISSN is bound in printed form, not in online form (pdf). Authors are not allowed to publish their work in other forms (journals) without permission from the Jurnal Purifikasi manager.


By submitting a manuscript, the author is deemed to know all the rights and obligations attached to each manuscript.
