Abstract

The water loss rate of the X Drinking Water Regional Public Company is 26.47% and the Y service zone water loss volume is 19.2%, the volume of water loss is dominated by physical water loss of 25.4% and non-physical water loss of 8.1%. Based on Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Republik Indonesia No 27/PRT/M/2016  that the maximum limit of water loss rate is 20%. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the piping distribution network at the X Regional Drinking Water Company in service zone Y. The method of this research is to analyse the distribution network using Epanet software by reviewing the pressure and speed of water flow based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia No 27/PRT/M/2016. Water flow pressure in service zone Y during peak hours (07:00) there is one area experiencing negative pressure (-19 m), while the speed of water flow is experiencing speeds below the drinking limit, which is below 0.3 m / sec. Evalausi distribution network system by changing the diameter of the pipe, from the existing size of 100 mm to 150 mm. This evaluation aims to eliminate negative pressure, so that water from the reservoir can be flowed to customers.
