Abstract
Along the main street, there are commercial buildings which cover several settlements there. The buildings indirectly act as the barrier noise. This purpose of this study is to calculate the efficiency of commercial buildings in reducing noise based on variabels; the height of commercial buildings and the distance between buildings and source of noise. In this research, measuring used SLM (Sound Level Meter). Measuring of noise was measured in front of building and behind the building. The height of buildings which were examined are the buildings that have height 5-9 meters, 9-13 meters and 13-16 meters. While the distance between the buildings that have distance to the source of noise 0-4 meters, 4-8 meters and 8-12 meters.
