Abstract
Study on the controlling leachate from landfill area was started by using its soil (with and without sterilization process) and sands from the Kenjeran beach. It was then approached by the same soil composition from the landfill at Kenjeran. The observed parameter was COD with controlled condition in pH, TDS, turbidity and DO of leachate. To obtain the good results, the toxicity test also was conducted using Bandeng fish as test organism after the standardization to represent the marine organism from the vicinity of the landfill at Kenjeran Surabaya. From the result give consentration of LC-50 7,00%, upstairs limit are 13,30% and beneath limit are 3.68% from toxicity test leachete to bandeng fish.
