Abstract

The contingent valuation methode was used to determine willingness to pay (WTP) to increase in air quality. Primary data were collected with random sampling with 892 samples that were classified into 2 groups, 446 public respondent and 446 environmental practioners. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistic. The results of direct method demonstrated for public group that were willing to pay for 25% and 50% improvement in air quality were Rp. 13.225,- and Rp. 15.290,- per year where for environmental practioner group were Rp. 21.280,- and Rp. 23.105,-. Having completed the evaluation, the benefit for this study for 1 km road length which was 100 m apart from the main was between Rp.5.950.125,- and Rp. 6.880.500,-.
