PENURUNAN KANDUNGAN NITRAT DAN POSPAT OLEH ALGAE HIJAU (Chlorella sp.)

Abstract
Waste water treatment use algae with nutrient combination, pH, high dissolved oxygen is an environmentally friendly technology. This treatment is cheap and more efficient to reduce nutrient and metal than the conventional tertiary treatment. This research was conducted by using green algae (Chlorella sp.). Biota test culture in laboratory in media of Bold'S of Medium. Continually research conducted with the variation of detention time 12 hour and 36 hour. Variation of composition of Nitrate and Phosphate made as follows C1 = 20 mg/l N and 4 mg/l; C2 = 4 mg/l N and mg/l P; C3 = 80 mg/l N and 6 mg/l P. The results showed variation of contact time, can absorbtion to nitrate and posphate. This absorbtion yield removal efficiency of nitrate 75% with the contact time 12 hour and 70% removal of nitrat at contact time 36 hour. Removal efficiency of phosphate 70% with the contact time 12 hour and 55% at contact time 36 hour.
