Abstract

Geology in Tangkiling, Central Kalimantan is included on Alluvial formations and tonalite Sepauk, it is considered potential for Granite. Granite is an igneous rock in which crystals had roughed with the mineral composition of quartz, feldspar, plagioclase sodium and other minerals. Granite is often used for house buildings, monuments, waterworks, roads, bridges, and as an ornamental stone. The main problem in this research is how to determine the depth of granite that can be known to exist beneath the surface of the ground. Determination of the depth of granite using geoelectric Wenner Alpha methods configuration on two tracks each 100 meters. Granite can be found at a depth of 6.4 to 12.4 meters on the track G1 measurement range 2945-4444 Ωm resistivity values, whereas the trajectory of G2 granite found in the form of separate chunks, ie, at a depth of 2.5 to 12.4 meter, 0 to 10.5 meters and 1.3 to 10.5 meters with a range of values of resistivity 3172-4609 Ωm. Other forms of alluvial are rock and sand, soil and gabbro. The results of resistivity measurements in accordance with the literature value of resistivity of granite, which is in the range of 3102-106 Ωm.
